three year old's birthday
Submitted by Tanesha on September 4, 2008 - 12:18am.
I am throwing my soon to be three year old little girl a birthday pary at home and am wondering if anyone has any ideas about games, food, etc. I just went to Chuck E Cheese and Mega Play before but I think those places are a waste of money. I am not sure how to keep a bunch of 3-5 year old entertained.
Some ideas that I need are:
Food
Games
Adult Entertainment
and whatever else comes to mind
Thanks in advance

party ideas
I did a Carnival theme for my son this summer and had it outside; the kids had so much fun! We bought one of the bouncey houses a couple years back so I had that out and we played some games like- ring toss, duck pond, and bucket ball toss. I did face painting and had circus peanuts and popcorn out in bags. My fiance grilled burgers and hot dogs for everyone to eat. I made a circus tent cake out of a giant cupcake pan. I had prizes for each kid that played the games. It was pretty inexpensive, compared to places like Chuck E Cheese. I don't like those places either, its not a very personal experience with a bunch of strangers running around! lol
If you like the carnival idea, there is tons of ideas online.
Good luck with party planning!!

What is the website
I'd be interested in that website
Thanks
websites
I just typed in Carnival games, Carnival birthday party, etc. online and came up with sites that way. I don't have a specific one to give, I used a couple different.
Oh, www.familyfun.com is an AWESOME site! I bet you could find something on there.
tumblebus
I don't know how active your daughter is, but something I'm considering for my daughter's next birthday is getting a tumblebus. It's basically a school bus that has gym equipment inside. You can go to the tumblebus website and see if there's anyone in the area that might do this. I haven't looked to see if there's someone in the area that does it, but I know there's several in the country.
play things
What does she like most right now? Hello Kitty, Dora, princesses? Start with a cake idea, even ask her what she likes then let me know. The party never stops here. Lynn
farm animals
She loves farm animals, I was thinking of a my little pony theme? not sure though. I have no idea where to start. I think the hardest part is the age group and keeping them entertained
tumblebus
That sounds like a neat idea! My son's birthday is in the winter, so that would be a great idea for his birthday. He is turning 4....my baby is no longer a baby! We'll have to see if there is one around here.
Farm?
Have you thought about going to a petting farm or seeing how much it is to have someone come to your neighborhood? I know there are a few farms in the area that are usually pretty cheap to go to. You would also be able to do pumpkins or a small corn maze depending on the farm.
ponies
Sandfire farms has ponies that come to your home for around $200. They setup and tear down. The party is in the rides and sometimes small animals. We've had a horse corral before and the kids of everyage loved it. It's a party they won't forget. We like to stay home and play. There are lots of ideas to do surrounding ponies- with bandanas, or styling the ponies' tails. The Dollar General usually has look alike ponies that everychild could get and then supplement with fun horse related activities like pin the tail(or hairbow) on the horse using posterboard and foam shapes (really big). Put your $ in the entertainment and not the cake or serviceware. They'll always remember the play-not the napkins. If you want specifics pm me. Lynn
Carnival Games
My sister just had a party for my nephew who is 3. They also did the carnival games and had a blast. I would definately recommens that! Have fun!
