Taste of Chicago
Has anyone ever been to the Taste of Chicago? Would you recommend it? What did you like/dislike about it? My mom and I are taking the South Shore to Chicago tomorrow and are thinking about possibly stopping at the Taste but niether one of us have been to it. Actually my moms never been to Chicago so I'm super excited to be taking her :-)

I have been to the taste of Chicago a couple of times. I like it cuz you get to try out different food. When we went you had to buy tickets. I don't remember how much the tickets where. But then you used the tickets to get the food. It might get a little expensive but I thought that it was fun. Whenever we went it was really busy. I suggest that you go every early. But because you are going during the week you might be better off that way. Maybe more people are working still.
Have fun. We always have so much fun when we go to Chicago. Oh and find the trolley to take you places. When we went the trolley was free.

We went years ago...the food was wonderful! I liked all the different cuisines you could choose from...definitely not your typical "fair" food vendors, but authentic cuisines from different cultures. I remember eating this gigantic BBQ turkey leg that was almost as big as my head. It definitely was a cultural experience for me, and was fun even though it was blazing hot, like 95 degrees and the record number of people in attendance...like 5 million!!! The fireworks show was fantastic over the lake, so I would recommend going at least once if you have never been!
They things that made me uncomfortable were the hotter than hell stinky joys johns and walking next to super sweaty people jammed in lines like sardines. So, I like my personal space, don't you?!?
