I am wondering if anyone was interested in starting/joining a running group. This would totally be non-competitive and be completely open to anyone who wants to start running--even if you have never ran. Creating this group would be not only motivating, but also creating friendships.I am not a personal trainer, but started running a few years ago (never have ran before that)and hear people say that they could never do that--but they can!

running

I don't think I have worked out a day in my life, but after trying on bathing suits at Target tonight, I've realized that just because I'm not overweight, doesn't mean that having babies, gravity, and aging isn't taking it's toll!!  I need to TONE!  I bought one of those pivot steppers last fall.  I bet if I looked at the monitor on it, I've probably burned like 34 calories TOTAL since I bought the thing!

Where do you live?  What are your thoughts on meeting days, times, locations, etc?  I'm not a runner (I'm not sure my knees could take it), but I could do a good power walk :)  I can't wait for warmer weather!

The times and locations

The times and locations would depend on everyone. The good thing about this is that it is cheap to do--just need a good pair of running shoes--that is important for not getting injured! My hope is that it could grow into a "bridge club" of today!

I could walk

I like to walk and would go for power walking too, running is too high impact for my knees. But it would all depend on when and where. I work full time so I have a hard time scheduling in time away from them because I am already away so much. However I know that walking with them slows me down a lot.
