it possible this could be permanent but dont want to buy a house till we are sure. does anyone know of a rental house in the edwardsburg/ granger area? his work is up this way so we dont want to move too far from there, but willing to look at everything. thanks for any input.

rental house

Have you tried Craiglist.com? that probably is one of the best ways to find what you are looking for with a rental in terms of being specific with what you need in a house. hope that helps :)

beware of Craigs list

I recently moved to the area as well and found it very difficult to find a rental home in this area. We lucked out and my realtor's son is letting us rent his home while he banks some money. However, its only a temp. situation and I will be on the hunt myself in about 10 months unless we can buy before then. I found craigs list to be helpful BUT also lots of scams on there. I found a stunning 4 bedroom colonial in Granger for 1200.00 a month. I found this a little too good to be true since I know homes in that particular sub go for 250K or more. Turns out it was a scam. The guy was in Africa and wanted me to send him money. He said the keys would be in the mailbox. I passed. Its sounded fishy and later it was on the news as the latest scam. Someone takes a photo of someone's home and claims they are renting it. I know I used to look at www.michianarentals.com

I hope that helps.

wndu.com

I ran into a situation kinda like that but with wndu.com. They have free classified ads. They had bulldog on there for $700 which is alot cheaper then anywhere else. He sent me pictures of the puppies, I even talked to him on the phone (he called me), then I found out he wasn't in the united states. He said I would wire him $500 and then he would fly the dog to chicago airport and after I pick up the dog I would wire him the other $200. Of course I didnt do it. I would just be careful wiring people money. If it seems too good to be true it probably is.

Have you checked like the newspaper, they normally have some houses to rent in there.

rental Homes

Try this website www.rentmesb.com doug is really nice he works with re/max and mostly does rentals. I too have looked into craigslist before and I have also talked with the scammer from africa it turned out that he was talking about a house that Doug had posted to rent. So I would check out his link he has a lot of rentals listed plus he can help you find a rental if needed. Good Luck
