Entertainment spending/budgeting
Just curious how much you all spend or budget per week or per month on entertainment-- going out for a movie, for icecream, dinner, any type of entertainment. I budget 60-70 dollars per week. It sure doesn't last the long! We typically spend most of it over the weekend.

we have..
We have in our budget $200 a month so 50usd per week. At the beginning that money was flying but now some weeks we don’t even touch it. I am sure this summer it will all be gone do.
entertainment
Only $100 per month! A couple of exceptions to it though....if we stay on track with our other budget for the month, we can afford to splurge and go out an extra time. Or if we decide to take a special trip to the zoo or something else fun for the kids, we will spend above our normal budget. If it is a girls/guys night out, we don't use our entertainment budget because it happens so rarely and it's never planned. But now that we are a few months into the budgeting/cash envelopes, we really do need to break the categories down further and add a few too.
$100 is a good number for us to keep us on track. If we go higher, we tend to spend heavier. If we have a lower number, it seems to steer us from spending needlessly.
