Anyone a member of the Curves on Ireland and Ironwood on the south side of South Bend? I've heard great things about Curves in general, but I'm wondering about this specific location. Thanks!

curves
i used to go to that location the people who do go there are very nice and most of the employees are also. i used to go with my sister in law ans when she quit so did i. just my personal preference to work out with someone i know really well
Curves
I heard they were pricey Do they have a child care facility in them? I know there is a work out place in Town & Country that does I was planning on going there after the baby is born.
Not that location but we do
Not that location but we do have one in Bremen, I am planning on looking into going to that location after the baby is born. I haven't called yet so i dont know how much their membership is. I heard its a good workout though.
I called
And at the time I think they were running some kind of promotion, one time fee for new members, and $40 a month, unlimited. I did lose my baby weight, so I'm not planning on joining now, but we did get a treadmill and a pivot stepper (great workout for the hips, thighs and butt!)....especially if you USE them :) Someday....

haha- we have a treadmill
haha- we have a treadmill but we never use it...haha. My husband keeps saying he is going to use it too but never does. I want one of those stair stepper things but I know I dont use it so that is why I guess I will just go get a membership. Then I might actually go.
Curves
I had looked into joining Curves about 4 years ago and found that it just wasn't for me. While I like the concept of the circuit training with the air resistance machines, I really like more variance than that. Also, my Aunt was a member of Curves and I know that they have prided themselves on the fact that there were/are as many Curves locations as McDonald's, but there are a number of locations closing, also. My Aunt's Curves location closest to her home closed without notice and the next closest location was nearly 30 min. away. I am a member of Fitness USA and while I can't say that their center is supreme(no childcare, small older building, mediocre customer service), I am happy about everything else. I paid $39 per month for 2 years to become a lifetime member and now I only have to pay $24 per year for life. With a price like that I could pay a sitter when needed and still come out ahead.
