Blackberry Cell Phone
Does anyone have a Blackberry? I just got the pink blackberry pearl in August or so and I HATE it !! I've had nothing but problems with it but under my Verizon contract I cannot get a new phone unless I want to spend a couple of hundred dollars (since I just re-signed a new 2 year lease for the Blackberry) so I'm trying to just deal with it for right now. Anyhow, about a month or so ago out of nowhere my text messages and call log were gone. I mentioned something to a friend and she said something like every 3 months the blackberry automatically deletes the texts, so I went to Verizon and the lady had no clue what I was talking about. She re-set my whole phone and ever since its been fine, until yesterday, everything is deleted again! I dont want to go through having my phone re-set again because it wipes everything out, my address book, my pictures, video, ringtones, etc...So I just wanted to see if anyone else has this phone and if the same thing happens to you. Its such a pain in the butt! More so the call log being deleted, I like to just be able to hit my green call button and it pulls up my most recent calls so I can just dial from that....ahhhh Grrrr so frustrating!!! :)

My husband is hte manager at the Verizon (cellular connection) store in Plymouth, and he really knows his stuff. I just called and asked him about the pearl and he said yes it does delete stuff when your memory is full. He said to go through your phone and lock the pictures and stuff that you want to keep and delete the rest and you have to go through your phone and delete text and stuff you dont need because he said what can happen is your memory get full and not only will it delete stuff but it can prevent you from getting text they just wont come through. He said you could get a SD card and save your pictures on that to make more memory. He said the pearls are good phone but if you werent shown how to use it right you would hate it. He is very helpful. If you want to talk to him you can either go to his store and he would be more then happy to help you or answer any questions. If you want his number to call him PM me and I will give it to you. He wouldnt mind at all believe me I have co workers call him all the time with questions....he really is helpful and honest.

My friend told me she kept texting me all morning and I didnt get any of them so I actually called Verizon and the guy I talked to was so helpful, he pretty much told me what your husband said. But the best news was he worked with me to get a new phone (out of the Blackberry family). He said effective on the 14th the Blackberry required plans are making everyone have the 29.99 plan and thats on top of your normal calling plan so it adds up quite a bit. I'm so happy and relieved!!! :)

Glad you are getting a new phone. I thought it was always like that, you had to get a 29.99 package with any blackberrys....

I dont know what you are getting but dont get the chocolate. They stink. I had one and I hated it and returned it for a new one and now I have a LG 8350 (I think) and I love it. My husband has a envy 2 and he really likes it.

Yeh, I also heard bad thing about the Chocolate. I am bad because I'm one to buy a phone because its pink and thats where I got "screwed" with the Blackberry. I told the guy I wanted something good for texting and he talked me into the LG Voyager, so hopefully that'll be a good phone??!! :)
Oh yeh on the Blackberry plans, I believe they had two different plans the cheaper one was between 20-25 but for me it wasnt worth it. I hop on every now and then for internet but you can do that on other phones! So it'll be nice to save that extra money:)

I have heard him talk about the voyager. He think just about any LG phone are good phones.
