I am trying to get ready for my son's 1st birthday. It is one month away and trying to remember what to do! I have the date and time, location, and guest list.
I am having it at a local park, with permit. I have access to a grill and it is a covered pavillion. I am having trouble with decorations. I want to have a monkey theme.
Food, I need to be careful with the hot weather.

Any and all ideas are soo helpful.

Thanks Penny

First, use your computer for all its worth! Look up Curious George and download any printables. Most everyone likes to color. Use coloring sheets as name place setting and place 3-4 crayons at each place. Use the finished pieces as decorations. Buy the game "Barrel of Monkeys", use the monkeys as table decorations and teething toys for your little guy. They also string well perpendicular and he'll have a game for later. Dress the tables with yellow table cloths and cut out banana shapes from sticky back foam and stick them all around, or do the same with a very elementary monkey's face/head. Get your little guy a monkey tee-shirt and let him be most of the decoration. You know in elementary school when we made the paper chains to count down for Christmas?, use the same idea with yellow, green and brown paper. It's cheap and cute. And, make the cake the best of all visuals! It makes the party. If you have questions pm me and I'll help out. We love parties:) Lynn
