I came across another site that compiles sales for local stores. The others I have looked at have never had ALL of the stores that I shop... Meijer, Martin's, Kroger, Walgreen's, and CVS and more. This site does so I thought I would share it. I usually try to make my list early in the week so the ads aren't sitting around all week. But then often I realize later in the week that I am out of something or have to run out and pick something up that I forgot was coming up, so I end up trying to look up the ads on each store site. Since this site has all my stores and it is organized by category instead of by store it will be quick and easy to look and see who has what I am looking for (and easy to compare).

There is also a link on the budget101 site for a guide to spending less than $200 on groceries per month for a family of 4 if you are interested. It is a 37 page guide that has some good tips.

FREE

It looks like it's free!  When you click on a store, there is a "coupon" link for each sale item.  What is that supposed to do, do you know?  I clicked, and it added a #, but I couldn't figure out what it's for.  Also, do you know when they update it with the new sale ads?  Grocery Game updates Tuesday mornings, I think.  I just signed up again for the Grocery Game's free trial.  I am doing really good with my CVS coupons and following the sales, so I thought maybe I would use it this time.  Thanks for the site!!

I did get some coupons

I can't figure out the coupon link next to each item though. Some say coupon and others say find coupon, I tried both and never got to a coupon. I did notice the number so I thought there might be a coupon waiting for me to find it somewhere. I did the link on the left side of the page that just said free printable coupons and printed a lot of good ones that I use, I don't always find much on the SmartSource site. I also noticed the rating system which is really cool if you are in a hurry, 5 stars means it is a really good sale and 1 star means regular retail price. You can also send a list to a cell phone, although I sent one to hubby thinking he would jump up and run to the store for me... he said it just sends a link though so it requires a blackberry or phone with internet access.

Coupon link works now

I wonder if the site wasn't working the other night because I just went there to look for something and tried the coupon link again. This time it tells me the type of coupon (freestanding insert), expiration date of coupon, amount of coupon and which coupon publisher (Smart Source).

The other link that says find coupons, still goes and finds the coupon like it did but replaces the link with a number... when you go to print list it just prints the coupon info of where to find it with that particular number. So it is basically the same info that comes up under the coupon link. My guess is that the difference is "coupon" means there is for sure a match, and "find coupons" means there are several coupons and you have to look through and see what might match your product.
