Do people do Adult Halloween Parties anymore? We hear about childrens' sometimes, but rarely do I hear about adults. Has Halloween become a child "holiday"? I think a Adult Halloween party with stupid games that no one likes to play but once they start playing enjoys them selves, food, and no alcoholic beverages would be fun and safe for adults. What are people's ideas about this? I wish our church was doing something. I would even be in charge of it and deal with the hassle of getting everything done just have an adult party of some kind.

In the past...

We've had a halloween party for 21 years. When the kids came along it was a natural progression. We do games, costumes and sometimes alcoholic drinks, depending on the mood. Good luck getting your church to provide a forum. The christians poop-pooped the holiday first calling it pagan. It was really only intended as an end of harvest celebration. It's too bad really. I've always loved this holiday most. It's fun all of the pretend, and who can overlook the candy! One year we were all angels and instead of all hallows'eve, we said it was all angels'eve. It was fun. Lynn

Lynn's party

I've never been a huge Hallo-weener, but we usually decorate a bit and trick or treat.  I've never been to an adult Halloween party, and I probably wouldn't be too into dressing up myself.  BUT if Lynn was throwing the party, you better believe I'd be there!  :)

But if you have a group of friends that want to get together for the occassion, you could always do a little Halloween decor, some themed foods, but not necessarily dress up (unless that is something everyone would get into).

Halloween

I have never been to an adult halloween party. We have just always took our son trick or treating and did the Zoo Boo. This year I found out my brother is having an adult/childrens party. He wants everyone to come and play games and eat food. BUt you have to dress up to go. My husband and I were just online looking at costumes. We wanted to go as something together. I think it will be fun.

party

We have begun having an annual Halloween party with my immediate family... adults and kids. This will be our 3rd year and my siblings and I are all taking turns in hosting the event. We all dress up, play silly games and have fun. Last year the adults dressed up as famous duos..my hubby and I were Wayne/Garth, respectively, from SNL. We had an adult costume contest and a kid contest with prizes and everything. We helped the little people carve faces in orange/yellow peppers. We usually have a meal and themed treats to go along with black punch (with just a little kick in the grown-ups :) We all have a blast because it's not everyday that you get to see Grandma/Grandpa dressed up like Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf or two clowns in full make-up and wigs :)

Definately

I go to my friends house every year for a HUGE halloween party. We send the kids to their grandparents and enjoy getting out and dressing up for a night. Its fun and its a way to get to see all of your friends!
